Vini Rosa Bosco

L’etichetta RB nasce nel 1998 per volontà di Rosa Bosco, realizzatrice di vini, una piccola leggenda nel mondo dell’enologia friulana.

Per diversi anni, Rosetta, ha comprato le uve dai vignaioli che le permettevano di governare il vigneto secondo le proprie esigenze e ha vinificato i suoi vini portando avanti un solo obbiettivo: qualità senza compromessi.

Nel Luglio 2006 ha trasferito la sede aziendale nella cantina dei conti de Puppi a Moimacco, a quattro passi dalla bellissima cittadina di Cividale del Friuli.

L’azienda vitivinicola Villa de Puppi è un’azienda storica friulana e affonda le sue origini nella storia della regione fin dal ‘300. In questa nuova sede sono a disposizione vigneti, cantina e la più moderna tecnologia di produzione.

Insieme all’esperienza e alla conoscenza portata da Rosetta c’è tutto ciò che serve per ottenere l’estrema qualità che ha sempre contraddistinto i vini Rosa Bosco.

Il Boscorosso 2015

VINEYARD: Hills in Manzano. Training system: Guyot.
SOIL TYPE : Eocene marl.
WINE MAKING: The grapes are harvested quite late, slightly overripe. Thinning is carried out in July: only the best grapes are selected and left on the plant. The bunches are selected one by one before destemming, and then vinified in oak barrels. The malolactic fermentation and final maturation take place in part new, part one-year-old French oak barriques for 24 months. It is bottled in spring and then aged additional eight months in bottle.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14,50°
APPEARANCE: Intense ruby red.
NOSE: Very intense and powerful. Elegant aromas of red fruit (strawberry and fresh cherry) followed by notes of violet and pine resin with clear backdrop of spices.
PALATE: Very mouth feeling, immediately warm with ripe red fruits and chocolate notes. With a subtle aroma of vanilla and sweet elegant tannins. An intense and balanced note of nutmeg and raisins in the finish and a perfect length. A very elegant Merlot.
AGEING: An immediately appealing wine that can age in the cellar for ten years or more.

Ribolla Gialla Rosa Bosco

VINEYARD:
Our grapes come enterily from the hillslopes of Rosazzo.
SOIL TYPE: Eocene marl.
WINE MAKING : The grapes were carefully handpicked at the end of September. On arrival at the cellar, they were crushed under controlled temperatures to preserve their aromas. Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel vats at low temperatures. The wine matured on the lees for six months: part of it remained in stainless steel tanks and part fined in barriques.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13,5°
APPEARANCE: Clear golden yellow.
NOSE: Fresh, very elegant with floral notes, complemented by a background aroma of vanilla.
PALATE: Well bodied, with pronounced but very well balanced acidity. Inner-mouth floral notes leads into a fresh, mineral and long finish.
AGEING: 2/3 years.

Sauvignon Blanc 2016

VINEYARD: Hills in Buttrio, Manzano e Premariacco. Training system: Guyot.
SOIL TYPE : Eocene marl.
WINE MAKING: The grapes are harvested by hand in august and placed in small boxes. We select the finest parcels of grapes from our vineyards carry out a hand
thinning. Grapes are selected one by one in the cellar before destemming.
The must remains in contact with the skins for few hours at low temperatures and then is gently squeezed. The fermentation takes place in 80% new and 20% one-year-old French oak barrels, where it undergoes full malolactic fermentation.
The wine stays on the lees for 10 months, during this period.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14,5°
APPEARANCE: Deep golden yellow.
NOSE: Complex and very intense, revealing distinct notes of mature peaches, exotic fruit and gardenia.
PALATE: Great structure, very mouthfeel and long length. Clear sensation of cream merged with ripe tropical fruits, especially pineapple, against a background note of sweet vanilla.
AGEING: Already an excellent wine but it can further develop its great potentiality if aged for 5 or more years.
